Cebu Doctors' University Hospital- Pulmonary Department was established to provide excellent respiratory care services through compassionate, dynamic and competent Pulmonologist and Respiratory Therapists. It addresses the individual needs of the clientele through diagnostic, therapeutic and supportive services related to respiratory care procedures necessary to implement a treatment, disease prevention, pulmonary rehabilitative regimen prescribed by a physician with the state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
Pulmonary Department cares for your lungs. We offer programs to patient and education to families on how to manage chronic lung disease and to improve day-to-day activity with less discomfort in breathing. We measure lung function. We also provide oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications and mechanical ventilation.
It provides program of respiratory care services to both in-patients and outpatients ranging from newborn to seniors.
IN-patient Services are available on a round-the-clock basis, seven days a week. OUT-patient Services from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST
It is a tool, to measure how much air and how well air moves in and out of your lungs. The test checks how your lungs work. It may be done to check how your lungs work. It may be done to check for lung disease, and how well you respond to treatment.
PEAK EXPIRATORY FLOW MEASUREMENT
It is to determine the improvement of airway obstruction before and after aerosol therapy.
Administrates oxygen concentrations greater than of room air to increase oxygen saturation in tissues where the saturation levels are low due to illness or injury.
A group of treatment designed to allow more effective breathing, strengthen respiratory muscles, removal of excess phlegm from inside the lung, by physical means and increase the amount of oxygen getting into the body.
Mechanical Ventilation (conventional, and non-invasive)
Using of machine to help patients breathe when they are unable to breathe sufficiently on their own.
Estimation of arterial oxygen level by analysis of light absorption of blood pulsating through a capillary bed (finger or earlobe).
Delivery of therapeutic agents directly to the lungs.
